Welcome to Wheretofore!

Hullo and welcome to Wheretofore! This is my first blog and before now I've hardly even read a blog, but I've been really into the idea of starting one for a while now. Life's a journey, and I'd like to document my thoughts, artwork, and ideas now while I still remember them and I hope this blog will reflect how much I grow as a person throughout its run. As of right now, I am a high school junior, with a fairly certain future in my head. A career in paleontology or archaeology, the University of Chicago somewhere in my college education, 3-4 kids, 3 cats, a dog, a turtle, a mouse (named Basil), and a rat (named Rufus), but we all know life doesn't go as planned, so let's see how close the final product comes to the original design.

Besides paleontology, my lifelong passion, I have a huge love for all things archaeology. I also love animation and it would probably be my third career choice, despite the fact that I have no personal experience animating anything so far. I love art and try to find time to do it. In November, I participate in NaNoWriMo to write a book in a month, so that event will be documented in November. I also have a budding, but very strong, interest in musicals, inspired by -- you guessed it! -- the Hamilton phenomenon. So far, my favorite musicals (including movies) are Hamilton and Little Shop of Horrors. I've always loved world history, but Hamilton has made me fall down a rabbit hole for early American history, which I'd always found quite boring before. You can expect history-related posts, such as history book recommendations and little factoids, too. Travel, adventure, and trying new things are important to me, as well as animals, so I expect to post a lot about those, especially considering a trip to Costa Rica coming up later this year.

I think I've covered everything this blog is made for. If anyone's reading this, I hope you enjoy my posts. Feel free to comment on how you think the blog is going along. Everything is baby steps so far but I'll get this figured out eventually!

So long!
